In honor of the 20 year anniversary of FTC's first skateboard video "Finally", FTC is proud to announce the "Finally" Nike Dunk low which will be dropping at FTC stores worldwide exclusively in April 2013 and then again in May as Nike Sb's Quickstrike global release. The FTC April drop will feature Del custom artwork Nike foot beds and each pair will come with a free DVD of "Finally" featuring new bonus features.
"Finally...an FTC Video" was originally released in San Francisco in 1993 and directed by Aaron Meza. Finally featured full parts from FTC team riders Jeron Wilson, Scott Johnston, Chico Brenes, Mike Carroll and team montages including Keith Hufnagel, Karl Watson, Jovontae Turner, Mike York and Guy Mariano. This was a ground breaking video for the time and really paved the way for FTC and skateboarding in San Francisco. The original cover art of FTC's "Finally" video was done by an emerging young rapper at the time named Del The Funky Homosapien of Hieroglyphics, and serves as the inspiration for the shoe's color and design. FTC is also producing a special limited Finally deck, t shirt, and re-releasing Finally on dvd too. In celebration of the release of the Nike/FTC "Finally" Dunk Low there will be a party held at 111 Minna in San Francisco on April 11th and will feature special guests and performances.
FTC is proud to work with a true SF original, Karim "Hard Hitta" Mayfield. Karim is a 17-0 undefeated Welterweight champ from San Francisco's Fillmore district. For more information on Karim's upcoming fight got to his facebook page
