H-Kay to J-Aye
I just got back from my production trip for FTC. Went to the homeland Hong Kong and shopped around for fabrics in Sham Shui Po, and met with our production peeps out there!
Saw kobe from the infamous subcrew and BIG K-I-T always fam out there! Big up to HKIT for holding FTC down in HK, keep it pumpin' Kit!
Got back to Tokyo and worked on some new shit plus our Spring/Summer catalog that will be available for the public. Saw the FTC homies Hiromasa (aka Bedu-Masa), DT, Makoto and the Kawaii Miyu!
Man Tokyo don't stop all day every day. Got a chance to catch up with Yop…haven't seen him in a minute.
At the end of the trip i was fortunate enough to attend the final day of Sumo! Truly amazing shit...and the winner Asasyoryu (who was 14-0), had a sick match with Hakuho who beat him, then they had a tie breaker and Asasyoryu won. They say it was the best match in 10 years.
Thank you to Tets and Kobayashi-san for everything!

SAT 1.24.09: Oliver Fader x Ando Artist reception @ Stussy
White Walls and Stussy present photographic works by Oliver Fader & Ando. The artist reception will be held at Stussy, Saturday, January 24th, 2009 from 8pm – 11pm. Stop by 1409 Haight Street. The show will run until the end of February.
Both Oliver & Ando were born and raised in San Francisco and continue to live and work in the area.
Ando’s work represents San Francisco’s skate scene. He experiments with various media and photographic developments but takes his photos a step further through the use of digital media.
Oliver Fader is currently enrolled as a painting major at SFAI and also pursues photography in his spare time. Like Ando, the skate scene is a big influence on Oliver’s photojournalistic work.
MARIACHI & Ride Bags
I just happened to meet up with Mariachi at his new studio. He is one of the fastest messengers in TYO. He's been reppin’ FTC for us hard and he's now doin' his own thing. He is now making his own messenger bags. The bag company is called "Ride Bag". It is all hand made; everything down to the strap buckles, and they're unbreakable as shown by rip-zinger.
The bags are super durable and look dope! I was impressed by Mariachi's sewing skills, nothing like people having skills to create something.
Here's a couple of photos of the bag and his partner in crime. Hope we can do a collab soon buddy!

FTC X SFO Company Party & Friends
Last night we had our FTC/SFO company party at Farmer Brown, really good soul food spot down in the Tenderloin. Definitely good times and good music. Thank you Doc Fu for turning the music up!!
A big thank you to Kent for lookin' out for us, especially in these times. Had the whole Uyehara clan there too (except Kent's bro).
Thurs 1.08.09: FTC x SFO "We're Kickin' Ass in '09" Party!

Sneakerheads go crazy and flood freeway!
State troopers are looking for a charity to take thousands of shoes that were dumped on a Miami expressway, tying up rush hour traffic. Lt. Pat Santangelo says the Florida Highway Patrol received a call about the shoes Friday morning.
Santangelo says he's not sure where the shoes came from. There were no signs of a crash and no one stopped to claim them. He says he hopes someone will take them because he doesn't want to send them to the dump.
Workers using a front-end loader and a dump truck were able to quickly clear at least one lane by sweeping all the shoes to shoulder, but delays were expected until they could all be removed. (Source: AP News)

Bowlin Boys!

The guys had a good time at KingPin Disco...a little too much (Lil John, and Felix). Good times!

FTC's Happy New Year Lobster
Robster, my lobster buddy, munched on salami and bread for his last meal.
Weighin' in at 9 lbs, Robster sported a bright tangerine shell & spent the last 30 minutes of his life as a proud FTC mascot.
RIP Robster
Thank you for the best meal ever. I'll think of u in the morning.
